Bridges and infrastructure

We have been hearing about the recent bridge collapses and failures in the recent months and now just the tragedy in Minneapolis. The DHS says that these are not acts of terrorism. So what is really happening? Maybe the fact that we have an aging infrastructure and funds in some way seem to be diverted from getting these things repaired or replaced. What is even more interesting is that new roads and bridges are seen going up while others sit and decay. Just some thoughts on this.

But what does this have to do with KM and memetics? Actually quite a lot in the form of not having the right sources of information to make decisions about infrastructure maintenance and how these do result in loss of life and the destruction on standing systems. How do we move memes that control this part of society in general? Is this happening because people (politicians) are not remembering how basic services really do impact the safety levels of the citizens?
